How to look after your neoprene seat covers

Supertrim uses 2.5 mm thick automotive-grade formaldehyde-free neoprene material. Do your seat covers work with heated and ventilated seats?

Supertrim seat covers can work with heated seats as our premium quality breathable, heat-compatible neoprene material allows heat to transfer through. While the heat still come through, you might notice a slight reduction in intensity or a slower warm-up time compared to having no seat cover.

Seat covers that suit ventilated (cooled) seats have to use perforated material that would potentially allow dirt, spills, etc to seep through while our seat covers are 100% water-resistant. A large number of car owners would prioritize protection of their expensive seats with Supertrim seat covers and go without using cooled seat feature.

Alternatively you can buy our throw-over cover instead of snug-fit seat covers for ventilated seats.

Neoprene vs. Sheepskin Seat Covers

  • Not Waterproof: Unlike moisture-resistant neoprene, sheepskin will absorb spills, sweat, and rain, which can lead to odors or staining over time.

  • Bulky Fit: Sheepskin is quite thick, which can take up extra cabin space and alter your seating position slightly.

  • Higher Investment: Genuine sheepskin is a premium material, making it significantly more expensive than rugged, daily-use alternatives.

If you are looking for pure, cozy luxury for your Outlander, sheepskin is unmatched. However, if your 7-seater handles kids, pets, or outdoor adventures, a material like neoprene might offer better durability and stain protection.
